Annie Close, MSOT, OTR/L
Founder of Mighty Roots Therapy
Pediatric Pelvic Floor & Feeding Therapist
Annie Close, MSOT, OTR/L is an occupational therapist and the founder of Mighty Roots Therapy. She is passionate about helping children and families navigate bowel, bladder, feeding, and pelvic health challenges so kids can feel confident, comfortable, and free to simply be kids.
She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and began her career working in pediatric hospitals and outpatient clinics, where she quickly recognized how few resources existed for children struggling with constipation, potty training difficulties, accidents, and other pelvic health concerns. That gap in care sparked her passion for pediatric pelvic health and continues to shape the heart of her work today.
As both a therapist and a mom of three young children, Annie deeply understands how overwhelming and isolating these challenges can feel for families. One of her own children experienced constipation from infancy, and navigating that journey firsthand helped shape her compassionate, whole-child approach to care.
Annie is passionate about helping families understand the “why” behind their child’s symptoms while creating playful, supportive therapy experiences that help children feel safe, capable, and connected to their bodies. Through education, community connection, and specialized pediatric therapy, her mission is to make conversations around bowel, bladder, and feeding challenges feel less confusing, less shameful, and far more supported.
