Helping your child feel comfortable, confident, and free to be a kid.

If your child is struggling with constipation, withholding, bedwetting, daytime accidents, potty training, abdominal pain, or other bowel and bladder challenges- you’re in the right place. We’re one of Denver’s only clinics dedicated exclusively to pediatric pelvic floor therapy, helping families get to the root cause of what is going on and create real, lasting relief.

What is pediatric pelvic floor therapy?

Specialized pediatric occupational and physical therapy designed to help children find relief from bowel and bladder challenges, with thoughtful care from therapists who truly understand how kids grow and develop.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports your child’s bladder and bowel but it’s also deeply connected to their core, movement, nervous system, and sensory system. When these systems aren’t working together, children can experience constipation, bedwetting, accidents, abdominal pain, potty training challenges, and more.

Because kids aren’t small adults, pediatric pelvic floor therapy requires a different kind of specialist. One who understands children’s unique anatomy, development, and sensory needs. That is why, at Mighty Roots Therapy, pediatric pelvic health is all we do. We look beyond the muscles, considering sensory processing, nervous system regulation, posture, and real-life routines to uncover the root cause of your child’s challenges.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and often look a lot like play. Through intentional movement, games, and activities, we help your child understand and connect with what we often call their “potty muscles,” while building the skills they need to feel more in control of their body. We also use hands-on techniques when appropriate, and offer tools like biofeedback and ultrasound for children who may benefit from a little extra support.
